Even in the depths of winter the trees, to me, are very humbling. To think that these creatures have withstood year after year of blazing sun and frigid cold, to grow taller and stronger than ever before. I think many times in winter we forget the strength and power of the tree. Without it's leaves it seems weak and silent. However, if you listen closely you can hear it's stories of pain and joy. You can hear it thriving and awaiting spring to bear it's warm sunlight and moist rains.
