One-Hundred and Seventy-One. Hawking for Dinner.
This is the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. These birds are pretty fascinating to watch. They will sit on a perch for some time to scope out their prey, or hawk insects. Then suddenly they will fly in random patterns to snatch up insects out of the air. The pattern is so wild and unpredictable that I could not get a picture, or video, of the act. So, I waited for him to come back to his perch and wait for more insects to arrive. Not only did this flycatcher swoop and swerve for me to enjoy, but he sang me a little song.
